God Is Always...MORE!

How does one understand God? The answer to that is explained in the eleventh chapter of Romans, “Is there anyone around who can explain God? Anyone smart enough to tell him what to do? Anyone who has done him such a huge favor that God has to ask his advice?” (MSG)

The answer is simply, ”No one!” God is always MORE. He goes beyond what our minds can understand. And aren’t we thrilled! You see, if we could fully understand, we would BE God, and what a travesty that would be!

“How naive to pretend that God is only

As big as my mind can understand.

How happy I am that my God has the

Whole of creation at His command!”

Are you struggling with God today...trying to understand “His way?” I understand. I’ve been there, too. Life happens, and life is messy...and we are humans. The Bible reassures us that God understands our human essence—“we are dust” (Gen. 3:19). James, the half-brother of Jesus, asks us, “What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” (James 4:14 NIV).

The final proof that God loves us and understands us is Jesus! The Son of God took on human flesh, becoming fully human, yet remained fully God, and lived with us, understanding fully our human nature. “Godly Understanding“—what a gift!

My precious friend, God understands everything about you, especially your pain and suffering, for he, too, suffered and died a criminal’s death. He, too, was a “man of sorrows” (Isaiah 53:3).

And please don’t ever forget—his life was not a mist. Oh, no! His resurrection is proof that we, too, will live forever with HIM!

Revel in the good news of the Gospel—today!

Love,
